Just received a letter from David R. Bush, Ph.D who is doing research on Johnsons Island.  Seems that some developer wants to build housing on the site, and this will destroy Fort Johnson.  As you know, Johnsons Island was where many of the Hopkins Co. confederate soldiers were sent as prisoners. Also, there is a hugh cemetery of prisoners there. My G.Grandfather, James W. Holloman was there after being captured at FT. Donaldson.  <p>
