A partial index of delayed birth certificates from all parts of Kentucky filed in the 1940's and later by folks born before 1911. Here are over 45,000 entries for births before 1911 (mostly 1900-1910 with a few as early as 1873). Each entry has name, date of birth, county, mother's maiden name, volume# and certificate#.

Every name from the tax lists for 1844-1858 including person's name, land, watercourse, town lots, total number of slaves, number of slaves over sixteen, number of white males over 21 and number of children. In original order with a complete name index.

Owsley County Land Records, Volume 1

Contains abstracts of over 1,100 deeds in Owsley County Deed Books 1, 2 and 3. Most of the deeds are dated 1900-1930, but some are as early as 1848. Abstracts include date, grantor, grantee, price, acreage, watercourse, previous transactions and miscellaneous genealogical information. Plus a list of Owsley County Land Grants in County Court Orders 1844-1985 with name and date of survey, patent number, grantee and grant date, book and page numbers, water-course, and acreage.

Owsley County Death Records 1852-1944

Deaths from the vital statistics for 1852-59, 1874, 1876-78, 1908-1910, census mortality schedules 1860, 1870 & 1880, and over 1,800 death certificates from 1911-1944 released in 1995 by the State government. Death certificates include name, date of death, cause of death, date of birth, parents' names, place of burial, etc.
