LEO SAMMY RHODES

Loe Sammy Rhodes, 94, died Monday morning, December 15, 1997. He was born
in Union County in 1902. He had lived in Cleveland since 1942.

He was a member of Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy. He joined the
church in 1926. He was ordained a bishop in 1944. He was an auxiliary
designer and manager of Fields of the Wood from 1944 through 1952. He was a
honor stone department director there from 1952 to 1964.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary Jane Rhodes and Laura Ann
Rogers Rhodes.

Survivors include his daugther and son in law, Mary L. and E. T. Headrick;
and one granddaughter, Saphronia Headrick.

Services were at 2pm Wednesday, December 17th at the Keith Street Church
of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Henry Biggers officiating. Internement
followed in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with the retired ministers serving as
honorary pallbearers.
