JOHN MORGAN SALYER (1827 - 1908) This is a photo of my great-great
grandfather. He was married to Evalina Jackson. John operated a ferry
across the Licking River at Half Mountain, where he owned 2,700 acres.
The story goes that when each of his 10
children came of age he gave them 160 acres and built them a house.
